How can that be? God knows each of us, because He created us and He has a life for you, if you will live your life according to His Word.

When you sit down to read the Bible, you could start with a prayer like: Almighty Father God in Heaven, in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, I pray that You would give me wisdom and understanding as I read Your Word. Amen!
You should read from the Bible. That way you can know when to trust what others say, if it is indeed from the Bible. (not expect others to tell you, TV, Radio, etc...). Never stop reading the Bible. If you don't understand something, bookmark it and come back to it, but keep reading on, or elsewhere in the Bible.
Understanding will come, just keep reading, no matter the questions which arise.
FINAL COMMENT- We are all different and the best way for you to understand the Bible is to read it yourself. Jesus died for all, so that all may live, when they believe and follow His teachings. Don't be stopped in your efforts to read the Bible. Anything that raises questions, or you don't understand, make notes and save it, file it, etc for a future date, when it may be revealed to you from a fellow believer that has gained understanding of that event or topic. The main point of the Bible is salvation for your soul, when you repent of your sins and sin no more and place your faith and hope in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells you how you should live your life to follow Jesus. To help you get a good start, there are many links under Christian Life.
