Obedience
Obedience is to follow God's teachings, that are in the Bible!
Obedient Children
As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you
is holy, so be holy
in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
(1 Peter 1:14-16)
Light Bearers
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
(Philipians 2:12-16)
Obedience of Christ
bringing every thought
into captivity to the
obedience of Christ
(2 Corinthians 10:5)
Obedience
Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name, among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ
(Romans 1:5-6)
Will you,
tame your tongue?
But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the
same opening?
(James 3:8-11)
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue
is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire
by hell.
(James 3:6)
Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.
(James 3:5)
Work Hard,
obeying God
Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
(Philippians 2:12-13)
Live clean
innocent lives
Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.
(Philippians 2:14-15)
Hear the Word,
 and Do
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves
(James 1:22)
Worthy of God
that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory
1 Thessalonians 2:12
